• NBA 2K17Cast: August 23, 2016 Recap

    With release of NBA 2K17 a month away, the NBA 2KCast returned and outlined some of the upcoming marketing schedule.

    Hosts Ronnie Singh and Chris Manning also briefly recapped the recently released #FRICTION trailer and the announced the ten community members who will visit the NBA 2K studio in Novato, California next week to see the game and then share impressions with the community afterwards.

    Hosted by @Ronnie2K & @LD2K, this week's NBA2KCast was streamed live via Facebook. They plan to return to streaming on Twitch in the future.


    - Monday's #FRICTION trailer recap. Shows physicality, hustle/conflict, something new in almost every screen, etc. Highlighted new players & players on new teams.
    - #SigNation callout months ago led to many player specific animations (IE: celebrations) being added to the game, numerous showcased in trailer.
    - IGN, Polygon, & PopSci articles this week with some early gameplay impressions.
    - Every arena with specific/unique lighting.
    - Some restrictions in marketing due to USA Basketball playing.
    - Full Dream Team roster will be included/available.
    - Devs will be the ones explaining gameplay modes/features.
    - Studio Day (Community Event) will have 8 new people, 2 returning vets.
    - Will be surprises that day for those attending and those not.
    - Attendees: SubTheGamer, ItsFangs, RedCityBoi, NCNative94, DmanUnt, bud22089, ThatKiddKuda, ShakeDown, JFox & CashNastyGaming
    - Gameplay news coming next week. Attendees can impressions next week.
    - More news soon; will be referenced in next few minutes.
    - Player ratings screens will be released as players ask. First player to do so: Detroit's Andre Drummond. 45-50 requests so far.


    - Show will likely be on next Thursday.
