VR is not the future. Just like 3D was not the future.

      Where is my Wolf 2?

Same, but at least with Bethesda making a couple games for VR it offers some legitimacy. I do not think it will catch on (yet), though.

Good to see the Dishonored team showing off 360 and PS3 footage for the sequel. Old consoles have not been forgotten.

Did not care for the first and we shall disagree on this too. Even the commentator for the game is making me sleepy.

Overall, I thought Bethesda had a good press conference, but the Dishonored 2 stuff dragged on a bit long for my liking. Stealth games don't come across very well in lengthy demos, IMO.

I thought EA's games looked good in their presser, but they just didn't pack much excitement or punch as compared to most of what Bethesda did.

No Wolfenstein. and was that a shitty remake of Gold Dust Woman in the Dishonored 2 Trailer (was away from the keyboard.) Terrible ending Bethesda.

Still happy about more F4 and of course Skyrim Remastered.

Thanks for catching that CDJ. Really looking forward to a new Wolfenstein. Still need to finish Doom but once I got to the hell chapter the game turned into a damn platformer.

Damn, even more DLC for Fallout 4. I'm still barely into the main story. It's gonna be a long time before I even touch the DLC.

I haven't even finished the Nick Valentine mission, have yet to meet the Institute/Railroad/BoS, etc. I've been doing literally nothing but exploring, looting and side missions for the last two weeks.

Though I do have 95% of the land between Sanctuary and Diamond City fully explored!

As someone who was never into rpg in the past but enjoyed DAI (not perfect, too many fetch quests but enjoyable party combat) will Skyrim be fun? I think I want to give the game a shot in third person. I just read your last Gen impressions and it seems there are a lot of different builds for characters - magic, sword and board, archery, stealth. I like options. Can you change at all during a play through? Or must you stay the same type of fighter the whole time? Is combat fun?

As someone who put somewhere near 500 hours in Skyrim, yeah it is worth a go. I barely touched DAI because I did not like the combat and tactical nature of controlling a group. Skyrim is pretty simple in that regard as you are controlling one player and it is basic hack and slash, crossbow or use magic, etc. Plus you have enchanting where you can make a sword that has magic effects and so on. There is a ton to do and learn. Not to mention the mods have been added which can drastically change the game in numerous ways, plus more weapon variety and armor to choose from.

The different starting races really do not define a character but they do give them special attributes for certain things from the get-go. After that it is all up to you and where you put skill points (Click on link to play around with this - no matter the character you have access to every perk). You should be able to reset the perks, something that was not available for the consoles until one of the DLC's came out with this added. You are stuck to one character but how they play is solely up to you. Plus with resetting perks you can completely change a playstyle.

Here is a list of the different character and bonuses they start with.

My only complaint about the remaster is that it is still 30fps. I am sure it will be locked but still disappointing.
