• NBA 2K16 to Include College Basketball Teams?

YouTuber 'ThatKiddKuda' has posted a video that appears to show a list of schools with licenses through the CLC and 2K Sports. Since the cover reveal featured background images of the cover athletes wearing their college uniforms, community speculation has centered on users being able to play some sort of college basketball game within NBA 2K16.

The leaked Achievement list includes users being able to "announce where your college ball will be played at," however there is no achievement tied to playing with/as a college team, simply declaring for the NBA Draft - which, as far as we currently know, could be nothing more than a chapter/storyline advance in MyCareer.

Some of the schools with 2K Sports as video game licensing partner include: Arizona, Arizona State, Georgetown, Kansas, Louisville, Michigan, Texas, and Wisconsin. Noteworthy schools omitted from said licensing agreement include Duke and North Carolina. The search function does not include all Division I basketball programs (not all license through the CLC), currently making it impossible to determine all licensed schools.

Continue on to see the video from 'ThatKiddKuda.'

Well that changes everything if true. The only thing that would bring me back was college teams. Sounds too good to be true but if they are able to do it, dare I say college football coming in 2016?

I don't think there's any way we get a college football game in 16 unless they've been working for a year on it already. 17 is the earliest I could see a comeback. Still, 2K would need way more than the amount of licensed schools to make it right now.

It is VERY interesting that Davidson isn't on that list and yet is on the cover, which means they have to be licensed.

Jayrah - Davidson wasn't in the search function at the CLC site so I couldn't verify them, but based on Curry's cover I'd guess they are in.

The list on the CLC site is very weird. Ohio U and Ohio State are both missing, yet I'm quite confident both are part of the CLC ...

Disappointed that WSU isn't part of the CLC yet. Not that they are a great program right now but of course Klay and Aron Baynes are Cougs. Would be sweet to take the Cougs dancin' once again (if that's an option).

I had the same thought. It doesn't makes sense why so many are missing.

You need to look at the clients section.

Neither Ohio team is part of the CLC. Even the Big Ten is not part of the CLC.

Edit: Looks like Ohio State does all their licensing in house.

      Big Ten uses this company

Something must have changed recently. I know Ohio State was part of the CLC (or something like it) at one time. Maybe they just got big enough that they could go independent. That makes the rumors back during the lawsuit that Ohio State (individually) was reconsidering being in the game a little more understandable (in the sense that at the time I didn't understand how one school could pull out).
