• PGA TOUR Shows Off Full Course Rendering & Quick Rounds

    Ever since the announcement that EA SPORTS PGA TOUR would utilize the Frostbite Engine, the company has discussed the benefit of no loading time between holes and a new video showcases this aspect.

    A new Rory McIlroy PGA TOUR developer blog features a six-minute gameplay video highlighting the lack of loading times and the new Quick Rounds feature which will allow users to finish a full 18-hole round in just minutes.

      While you're not playing every hole, you get to play the key holes and then your attributes will help sim the rest.

      Wish they would have shown the other camera options but the game will be here in two weeks, so here is hoping it is similar to what they used to offer. The game looks great and I enjoyed the commentary.

      Also found this tweet at OS which gives some hope that there will some free stuff post-release. Courses? Will have to wait and see on that but that seems to be what the EA guy was referring to, since the question was about the lack of courses.

      Makes sense to offer free content to make up for the small amount of courses at launch due to making them all from scratch.
