Legends
(PS4, PS3, PS Vita)
We partnered with the MLB Player’s Alumni Association to make a total of 30 Legends playable in MLB 15 The Show. Collect an entire MLB team, and you’ll unlock an iconic alumni player from that team. There’s one from each team, and though you’ll have to find or unlock the card to slot them into your Dynasty squad, you can simply opt in to utilizing the whole pool of Legends in your Franchise mode.

“Inside The Show” News Suite
(PS4, partial PS3)
Franchise, RTTS, and Season modes all feature a new suite of features centered on providing news updates from around the league. Inside The Show is a new radio broadcast that will be heard at the beginning of each new day and will discuss recent scores, notable performances, team news, milestones, records, standings, and more. In addition, the new League Updates panel, found in season based modes, gives the user a quick snapshot of updates from around the League so you don’t have to dig through multiple screens to get the basics.
As you can see, our goal this year was to build off the solid foundation of MLB 14 and expand on the game we love to make MLB 15 The Show the best baseball game ever made.

This game is so.... solid and without NCAA now and my current feeling that Madden is rental material only I've decided that The Show is going to become my primary sports game to play on so I'm going to pick this bad boy up on release day.

Nothing earth-shattering, imo.

That said, I am looking forward to continuing my Astros Franchise this year. :)

I love the "inside the show" aspect. That will really help bring the game alive. Also looking forward to seeing if Steeler can get his 'Stros to the playoffs.

I agree. Most of those things are repeated every year. I am curious to know about easier pitch recognition. I also want to see the new graphics. Doesn't sound like they did much in that department although the animations are supposed to use a new engine.

Wow, I had no idea that the Year-to-Year saves were on the PS3 version too. Might have to think about that.

I'll be honest, I had no clue either Jeff. Last year they made it sound like it was PS4 only. They must have found a way to get it working on PS3 for Show 15.

Really excited but also very anxious about this feature. I want it to work perfectly but there are just so many variables. Fingers crossed gents.

I'm still skeptical that it will work PS3 to PS3. I'm thinking they mean PS3 to PS4. That was already the case last year.

Personally I want to continue my new Jays franchise but I may restart the RTTS as I became too good too quick. I might move from the hot corner to say relief pitcher/closer.

I'll try to post things:

1st thing they showed was how the lighting changes at a stadium depending on what month of the year the game is at (used Dodger stadium as example)

Challenges in the game this year

CLW

slowed the speed down for slower players to increase the gap between the speedsters and the fat guys

Colours and lighting looks good but the rest of the game looks the same. Player models and animations look exactly the same. I wouldn't be able to tell the difference between 14 and 15. It's hard to tell from a video feed sometimes but they commented on that it's easier to pick up the pitch type. I just hope that is true.

Fairly boring presentation. There was a throw home to a player covering WELL in advance of a runner and the guy didn't apply the tag. That used to annoy me. Was that an issue in 14?

They will have challenges. I still want to know about this new animation system they talked about since I do not see anything other than the same old stuff. They said they redid a ton of that stuff. Hopefully it is noticeable.

Honestly - this doesn't look like it's worth a full upgrade. Seems more like a big patch. I know it's early but I'm hoping to see more real improvements. If commentary is the same I can't see me dropping $70C + tax. I'd like to see defensive ratings for every position done so true utility guys are treated properly instead of just primary and secondary. Some guys play two positions equally well - impossible in Show.

One nice thing they added - they split the fielding sliders between OF and IF for throwing errors. I like that.
