The Hot Stove Season starts off with a bang.

Braves trade Jason Heyward to the Cardinals for Shelby Miller.

Both good young players, but Heyward was playing way below expectations. Change of scenery could do him good.

Overall the Braves got the better end of the deal.

Yeah, Gioncarlo Stanton. Those long deals are stupid.

They are stupid, I agree. The NHL put a stop to it with the Devils/Kovalchuk deal a few years ago and MLB should do the same.

I think this is going to be year 4 of the Pujols deal that would end when he's 41 or 42. Granted last year was decent, but nowhere near the production he had in STL.

That was part of the reason why the Cubs didn't make big splashes in the offseason for so long, they were stuck with the ridiculous contracts of Alfonso Soriano and Carlos Zambrano.

Indians made what could be a big move for them by trading for Brandon Moss on Monday.

Glad to see that Craig Biggio got into the Hall of Fame. As an Astros fan, I'm on the fence about Jeff Bagwell but Biggio is a no-brainer.
