FSU wins ACC title 34-14

Ponder would recover from a pick on the first play of the game to guide FSU to victory. The D forced 4 interceptions (1 given right back on a fumble by nigel bradham on the play) and 2 fumbles (1 returned for a TD) to take control of field position for most of the game. Va Techs D held tough and only surrendered 2 FGs but a fumble right before the half where the hokes would have taken a 1 point lead lead to a 14 point swing the other way as nigel carr returned it 80 yards for the TD. The hokes then scored on their first drive after the half to get within 6 points again but then never could muster another score.

Got handled like I figured we would 34-14. Great game by FSU and his defense, think they forced like 6-7 TO's. 2 of which were intercepted options by the LB Carr. The first one was crucial as it put FSU in scoring position when they were down 7-0, how he caught was amazing because he wasn't looking at the QB, so the ball went through his back for him to catch it. Wonder if that will get patched.

After the TD that tied the game, FSU's defense would play lights out intercepting and batting down everything that went in the air. Carr would give them a 20-7 lead after intercepting his 2nd option pitch. This one he knew the ball was going to be pitched again and ran the option better than Williams did. He would take it back 70 yards. Then FSU would move the ball well after the TO's and get into the endzone with solid offensive drives.
