NCAA Rushing Title watch:

Eddie George - 1624
Ryan Williams - 1548
Michael Cox - 1451

Unless Cox has a great day against Ohio State it looks like he had to give up the rushing title in hopes of a National Championship berth in beating Wisconsin.

In Heisman news, it looks like Lyle Leong is the new favorite to win it. Also, I need either FSU or TCU to lose, and Papa to remain #1 or 2, and I may have a chance to go to the Rose Bowl. With USC's loss, that put me at #2 in the Pac-10. Of course that would work perfectly if there wasn't so many undefeateds left.

Definitely won't be able to play tonight. Hoping I'll feel up for it tomorrow ... otherwise it might be Friday. How are things looking for you, Oneback?

#20 Oklahoma 42, Oregon 30 (two late TDs)

This was Oregon's defense:

Snap jumped, blitz 7
Snap jumped, blitz 8

Needless to say, we had no problem passing the ball when we could get the pass off and DeJuan Miller blew the game open, and I didn't get the message that Leong was the Heisman winner to be.

Anyways, Miller caught 8 passes for 312 yards and 4 TDs with 136 YAC and his long being a 78 yard TD.

Murray ran for 110 and 2 TDs. Jones threw for 454 yards.

Beal had 9 tackles, TFL and a Sack.

Ronnell Lewis had a FF and a FR.

How the heck am I number 4 in the Pac-10 since USC beat Tech?

psusnoop

Because TT already has a 7 wins in the conference compared to your 5. If you win out you should jump him.

Actually just looked and you have 8 conference games and TT has 9 so there is no way you'll jump them.

psusnoop
08-17-2010, 11:44 AM
You should finish #3 in the Pac 10 because of that.

Texas A&M has 1 more conference game just like you, but they play Texas.

**Looks like TT had UCLA as an out of conference game possibly but with the switch it works for them this year.

*if the case we should look at that for next year.

In all reality, I think it's a tie for #2. But I don't know why I'm ahead of you. Maybe strength of schedule?

psusnoop

An OSU upset could make a 3 way tie for the Big 10 Championship, but would still probably keep UM and Wisky as the BCS teams out of the Big 10. 1 terrible game......grrrrrrrrr

psuexv
08-17-2010, 12:06 PM
yeah I did have a question on the scheduling. The Pac 10 usually plays all the teams with 3 out of conference games. Somehow USC has 13 games on their real schedule and that gave them 4 OCG in the dynasty and A&M was actually left off my schedule.

Not sure what happend there, when we started the season USC wasn't user controlled.

Oh that's right, their schedule wouldn't have been adjusted. No worries... might be something to watch for next season though.

Well, the weird thing about that is that USC shouldn't have [i[needed[/i] adjusted.

You can't add or subtract conference games ... so I guess the game can't handle USC's real schedule this year, lol.

Oneback, I should be good to go tonight. Planning to get home around 7:30 eastern, and I should be okay to stay up later if you want to wait until your kid is in bed.

Miamis D picks up where the O cant produce anymore. Forced 6 turnovers. 4 picks 2 for 6 and 2 fumbles. Aj Highsmith continues to struggle. :(

USC wins the Jeweled Shillelagh 28-19 - Barkley throws for 286 and 4 TDs and Bradford and Gable run for 158 and 132 respectively. Shut down their running game but Christ did throw for 402 but 2 big picks. Couldn't seem to put them away but hung on in the end.

Yep - need to not choke in the finale and secure #3 in the Pac 10 and maybe with some luck #2.

Do I need to be set to advance not to screw up anything? Not sure if I'll have the chance to hope on to but I'm ready

u dont have to set it, but it lets everyone know you are done recruiting, it does not show your recruiting time left like last year so it can be hard for a commish to know u r done for the week,.

Good game Jeff, as soon as Cox dropped that ball in the end zone (WIDE OPEN BTW) I knew I had lost.

The annoucer call on that goes a little something like this:

2nd overtime all tied 24-24, 3rd down....Tate Forcier drops back Michael Cox is wide open in the endzone, the throw is made and Cox err Jackie Smith drops the ball. He dropped the ball.

So defeating.

Do I need to be set to advance not to screw up anything? Not sure if I'll have the chance to hope on to but I'm readyPersonally, I would appreciate, for sanity more than anything, if everyone would at least post here (as you did) that they're done, if not hit Ready to Advance. Since we can't see recruiting time this year, it's impossible to know why a person isn't "Ready to Advance". I like the changes to the menu otherwise, but taking away that information sucks for sanity.

Yeah I wanted to make sure OB atleast knew, usually I have no problem having it set but I forgot about it after my game since generally I don't have time left.

lol @ Prime....but I feel ya....we set the bar last year by completing what....7 seasons (not sure....all I can remember were my 4....count 'em....FOUR national championships....lol :-p )....and I believe we started in November or December? All I'm hopin' for is to get to the 6th season (so we can see the teams we've built)....the more the merrier for me after that.... :-)
