Hokies down ECU 45-21.

VT trailed at the half 20-10 due to facing a 76 rated Robo Qb who only had 3 incompletions up until the start of the 4th. The ECU receivers then would turn into Brandon Jacobs running downhill as they ran through 97% of our defenders tackles majority of the game.

The VT offense would struggle early a bit with the running game so they would turn to QB Taylor. He would not let his team down when needed especially when starting back Williams would go down in the 2nd. Evans would come in and carry the load running for 180 yards on 17 carries and 4 TD's. Taylor would throw for 256 yards and 2 TD's but would throw a pick.

Oh my god. Dejuan Miller is a beast. 6 receptions, 286 yards, 3 TD, 149 YAC. Iowa blitzed alot of CBs and S's who were covering Miller and he beat them so badly. I'd say he broke like 4-6 tackles too. What a beast. Here's a shocking result..

#14 Oklahoma upsets #7 Iowa 49-17

Someone, please remind me how we gave up 38 to Toledo? Seriously. A flawless performance. Iowa blitzed alot and got burned Dejuan Miller and Broyles. Miller is bad fast and both can break tackles.

Iowa had no luck despite having alot of offensive yards, but they missed 4 field goals(?), no conversions on 4th down, 5-13 on 3rd, and were 60 percent in the redzone. We had 611 offensive yards.

Landry Jones 13-16 passing 446 yards 4 TD INT 13 rush yards
DeMarco Murray 18 carries 89 yards TD (so much for leading the nation)
Jamie Calhoun 5 carries 28 yards 2 TD
Dejuan Miller 6 rec 286 yards 3 TD
Ryan Broyles 4 rec 117 yards TD
Joseph Ibiloye 6 tackles 3 TFL Sack
Frank Alexander 3 tackles TFL INT

Geez, Snoop, I can't wait until you play a real defense and stop putting up these insane rushing stats.

I couldn't believe that stuff last night. I pulled Royster I think with 6 minutes left in the second quarter, I then pulled Green right after the half ( I would love to get them more carries, but I guess I shouldn't complain). Then Dukes I pulled by mid-point of the third quarter as well. I was left to put a TE at FB, and move my starting FB to starting HB and I proceeded to pound the rock with him for over 100 yards on 18 carries. I put on chew clock in the first quarter when I went up 21-0. Heck I took a couple of knees in the game just run clock.

I face Temple next week, I'm really not looking forward to that one either.

any word from oregon user? Oregon is 2-0 and has FCS West this week so should be 3-0 headed to week 4 (hopefully tonight if G/papa/king play :p)

Oklahoma State gave me a challenge as well. They scored the first 14 points of the game. We eventually challenged back tying it before going into halftime. OSU was held scoreless in the third and ultimately two forced turnovers allowed us to take a 21 point lead. They scored again with 5 minutes remaining but our defense managed to stop them from then out allowing Wisconsin to win 45-31. Clay & Ball combined for 313 yards on the ground with 4 total touchdowns.

Sounds like it was a great game. My ECU game was tough as well which after seeing other people's scores isn't a bad thing.

Looks like my week 3 game came on week 1.. how we defeated a A- team by 32, I'll still never get. They just had no luck on our side of the field.

We are ready to advance. The Cornhuskers gave us a test early....but then GG bailed us out big-time.
