Welcome to the start of the 2010 college football season. I hope everyone has a good Labor (College Football) Day weekend. The games on tap this weekend include:

Michigan vs UConn
Clemson vs North Texas
#13 Miami vs La Tech
#6 Va Tech vs #4 Boise St
Texas Tech vs Rice
#2 Texas at BYU
Ohio State vs Marshall
#10 Wisconsin at UNLV
#17 Penn State vs Buffalo
#14 Oklahoma at Toledo
#20 Florida State vs FAU

I know everyone is excited to play but pace yourself as we will be waiting for E before we advance which looks like it will be Tuesday evening at the earliest.

Have a great season everyone!

#20 FSU beats FAU 69-7

Jeff Luc welcomed himself to college football with style, the true freshman MLB who enrolled in the spring took a pick to the house and forced a fumble that led to another TD. He also pitched in 5 solo tackles/1TFL

Christian Ponder had a ho hom 8/12 passing day for 212 and 4 TDs before being pulled in the 2nd quarter.

FB Lonnie Pryor had 76 yards on 9 carries including a 35 yard scamper for a touchdown.

I have to admit, i was disappointed i did not come away with 1 or 2 more instant commits this week...its now time to sit back and watch the CPU take away some top recruits from me/ as well as some unscrupulous users!

*side note* is it possible to post highlights in these threads from easports world? its hard to decipher the 'link' easportsworld gives me to try to post the video to facebook etc...

I am only leading Toledo 7-2 in the late 2nd quarter. Landry Jones is an awful 4-12 with a pick. WTF?

ick i forgot you had OU, see you soon

Jeez.. the ball flies right out of Jones' hands on a throwaway into a Toledo defender for six. I'm benching Jones.. 21-9 in the third, I'm kinda worried.

Also Toledo blitzes either 2 LBs or/and a CB every down.. good lord

Wow. Eric Page for Toledo broke six tackles and scored a long TD. It's 35-23 now.

Upset alert.

Wow.. someone wide open on fourth and twelve?? All of Toledo's TDs have been completely crazy.. Page covering the ball for 40 yards and breaking everyones tackles, someone wide open, the throw away pass thrown magically into a defenders hands..

Wow if the CPU comeback still isn't in this game.. Toledo fails to recover the onside down 45-38.

So I scored at the end of the game. Oklahoma 52, Toledo 38 in the biggest BS I've seen from NCAA '11 yet.

I'm hoping this is a fluke since it was against the spread no-huddle. I hope.

Da U handles LA Tech with a shutout. Did come away with a instant commit 4* rb Nate Lewis

I think we should be alot better next week. I didn't like Syracuse's PB and really our defense just got tired and gave up way too much. Should be better at home next week, I'm pretty sure this was just a fluke game.

I plan to laugh at this game in a couple of weeks or two, and say "Wow, that was really a strange one.."

nice pickup, i had him on my board, was scared of the ACC # but who knows if any RBs will have good ACC in the future, his str/btk and RB abilities are overall very nice.

Wisconsin gambled by traveling to UNLV but the Badgers kicked the craps out of them 54-7 with their Ace-in-the-hole running game.

TTU handles Rice 59-17. Sheffield threw for over 300 in the first half. I think he'll be my starter instead of Potts.

Texas handles BYU in Provo 62-0....sophomore RB Chris Whaley sprained his elbow in the 3rd quarter, but not before rushing for 184 yards and 3 TDs. Fozzy Whitaker and Tre Newton will battle it out this week in practice. The Longhorn defense started out the season with a BANG....forcing 6 Cougar turnovers and only allowing 134 yards of offense.

I guess that is what I get for trying for 200 yards :-(

Hokies get win against #4 ranked Boise State.

Defense came to play forcing two user-control safeties and knocking out QB Moore for 6 weeks 3rd qtr with a dislocated elbow so their hopes of doing anything will be shot.

The offense got a little more familiar with the PB will be using so I expect far better things next week.

Everyone but Jeff is done, I am contemplating pressing on if everyone is done and then E can jump in once he's up and running.

I know, its tough when you've got everyone chomping at the bit to slow things down.

I was doing just fine ;)

Ohio State goes into halftime 28-0 and comes away with a 34-10 victory. Eddie George leads the way with 156 yards and 2 TDs.

Boy, I need to work on my passing game. Uggggggggggggggly.

Sources close to the Buckeyes program are expressing doubts that the team is prepared for their test against the Hurricanes next week. We shall see.
