Just a quick question how are you liking madden?

I like CCM and think it has a lot of potential. Not only for future versions of Madden, but for a similar mode in NCAA. The physics engine is nice, but still has a ways to go. I still find NCAA playable, though some think the physics engine is the only way to play football this year.

You can set up text alerts for game completions, if you are last remaining, etc.

How are you guys liking CCM? I think it's a huge improvement over the past franchise modes. Check out my review for ideas on scouting if you like. Whatever you do make sure you buy the scouting upgrade option for your coach. You get an extra 1000 scouting points per week and you need them. I think 3000 per week is a perfect number myself and that's only attainable by buying the upgrade and being a team builder coach.

Rudy - I like CCM. It has room to improve, but being able to compete/play against others is pretty fun. I'm tearing it up as a RB and have 300+ legend points in my rookie season.

Yeah I'm just a QB so no scouting for me. I very interested to see the upcoming game against JB since he's a coach.

I do like CCM, I think the website is cool too but definite room for improvement

I've never actually seen the website for it yet. EA made a big effort to give you something to do every week (re-sign players, scout, practice) along with twitter feeds and news stories. I hate practice but the rest of the stuff was a good effort to keep you engaged. In the past Madden had nothing to do during the year but that changed a lot this year. Plus the draft and free agency are way better now imo.

Raiders rally to within 34-27 to the Chiefs and force a punt with 20 seconds to go. However, with two timeouts remaining the CPU does not call timeout (and game will not let me) so time runs out. :fp:

The game seemed to have a boost on forcing fumbles. Even covering the ball, big hits forced my RB to fumble three times.

I lost a fumble with Forte in the first half...part of which led to a 10-0 deficit at half against the Vikings, along with one or two Cutler interceptions.

Already doing some debating on personnel for next season. I think I'm not going to re-sign Hester. Probably won't retain Chad Johnson either.

I've already paid Forte and Urlacher to 5-year and 3-year deals.

At the end of the season we'll see what needs to be tweaked. To me the run game may need to be boosted a tad for both sides. And the pass rush lowered on both sides. Int's lowered a tad too is on my mind.

The human running game is overpowered on all difficulty levels while the cpu running game stinks on all difficultly levels imo.

I haven't been overpowering with Forte, but I am HC too. I think CDJ is having a monster year with his RB, but he's in as a player only. Same for Eric.

I'm not generating much offense at all but my defense is #1, but in a way that's true to life with Da Bears.

There are a few gems in the FA pool. I think this dude was a 74 OVR or so. Signed him to a 1-year $880k deal.

Da Bears finish the regular season undefeated by beating the Lions 21-14. Idonije didn't get the sack record as he was held without a sack and stayed at 20. Tillman broke the interception record for a single season with one pick of Stafford, totaling 15 on the year.

That is one of the biggest problems with the cap and free agents - the mid tier guys are too cheap. You can sign solid backups and low end starters for dirt cheap.

Only sliders I tweaked were interceptions, pass rushing, and block shedding down from 50 to 45. Also, lowered the clock acceleration and going 8 minute quarters.

Inked a couple of deals. Re-signed CB Charles Tillman to a 3 year $24M deal. Re-signed QB Jay Cutler to a 5 year $65M deal.

Thanks to two Urlacher INT's Da Bears got up to a 24-7 lead, but almost blew it. Gould with a FG with :59 left and the defense makes Detroit turn it over on downs for a 27-24 victory. Unfortunately the win brought a great loss as Brandon Marshall is out for 7 weeks with a broken hand. The 2nd time in as many years Marshall has had a major injury.

To make up for the loss, Da Bears sign Mario Manningham to a 1-year deal.
