Another pretty light week this week. While I'm done working at 9am this week (as opposed to 5pm yesterday), and even though I do have a friend's wedding reception at 5pm, ultimately, there's just not that much in terms of games that interest me this week. Navy-Air Force play early, followed by Tulsa at 3:30, after that, there's not too much I care to watch. I'll flip around between the four games at 7, 7:30 and 8, but not sure which I'd really sit and watch for longer than from commercial break to commercial break.

Oregon vs Washington at 930pm should be a really good road test for the Ducks. Playing in that stadium will be a real test for that hurry up offense the ducks like to run.

The winner of the Bulldog/Gamecock game is going to win the SEC East and play Alabama for the SEC championship. It has my vote for biggest game of the week.

Captain Obvious answer: Georgia/South Carolina is the ESPN primetime game. Wouldn't be totally surprised if Kirk ends up calling that game with Brent rather than the Nebraska/Ohio State game (which, honestly, the Big Ten must have one hell of a TV contract to get that game in national ABC primetime).

WVU/Texas is, obviously, on Fox.

A win here will go a LONG way. But Bo + big night game on the road doesn't equal success that much.

Also my wife's Birthday that day so it was already scheduled as I wasn't making this one.

Navy 28, Air Force 21. Step one to getting the Commander-in-Chief's Trophy back in Midshipmen possession is DONE!

I'll be interested to see if Kansas State (possibly the most consistent defense in the Big 12) has an answer for West Virginia. I really don't think they will. It'll be another shootout because K-State should be able to get points on WVU, but WVU will do the same.

Who needs a defense when we can score 70? Get enough stops to prevent them from scoring 50, and it's game over.

As for your "defense", play someone worth a damn, then we'll talk. Michigan and Michigan State certainly aren't worth a damn.

Baylor is the 2nd best offensive team in the Big 12 (obviously, we're first ;)) and better offensively than Michigan, Michigan State, and Notre Dame. Don't think so? Just watch what they do against TCU, Texas, and Oklahoma later in the year.

You're silly if you think Big Ten teams match up AT ALL to Big 12 teams. Ohio State is the best team in the Big Ten, and they are atrocious. Sadly, they'll probably go undefeated because they played a bullshit weak OOC schedule.

I HIGHLY disagree. Marshall is played because that's the remnants of a stupid political bullshit that our dumb ass Governor forced us to do. Thank god that shit is over with.

James Madison was for the money (of which, we made QUITE a bit). Nevermind they are picked to win the FCS Championship this year (not that it really means anything).

Here's an article with more details. The husband organized it with help from South Carolina.

I think the only reason it doesn't happen more is A) People have a tendency to cynically flag it as a publicity stunt (myself included); and B) troops just don't return with enough frequency and ahead-of-time-scheduling to make something like this happen that often.

Very nicely done, though, both by the husband and SCar. Only problem I had is that, because of the camera work and the audio, I couldn't tell if the crowd was cheering something that he'd said, or they got early sight of the husband.

Side-note: Cheerleaders are much better at maintaining the smile/pose combination than I would have expected. I couldn't hold a smile half as long as those girls did.

I could watch a million surprise military reunions and every single one will get to me.

Never gets old....Seriously. I've teared up every time I've watched this one, and I know exactly what's going to happen!
