TD: 5yd rush by M. Glennon

Storm in Miami! N.C. State gets back to basics and won huge over #25 Miami, but at what cost as star Rb James Washington possibly out for a few weeks with an injury.

I'm an idiot and missed this post last night my bad. I can go tonight for sure. I was playing 2 other OD's last night and probably wouldn't have been able to last night anyways.

Lets shoot for 1130pm est if that is cool? Maybe a little earlier depending on my other user game.

Pitt eeked out a sour victory against San Jose State 27-24. The Panthers were in complete control early, with 2 solid drives that ended in Ray Graham rushing TDs and a 14-0 lead at the end of the first quarter. The teams traded field goals during a slow moving second quarter. Then a 45 yard bomb by Dasmen Stewart cut the lead to 17-10 with 21 seconds left in the half. Tino Sunseri connected on his own bomb to give the Panthers 1st and goal right away, but promptly threw a INT to end the half. Punts were traded a bit and Pitt added a FG halfway through the 3rd quarter. Then the Spartan offense got going on the ground and the air. A big run set up a 13 yard TD pass. Another Sunseri INT and a completely blown defense on an option set up another TD pass to start the 4th quarter. Spartans lead 24-20. Pitt drives, but Sunseri gets sacked on 3rd down. They go for a long 4th down from the opp 40, turnover on downs. The Spartans run the ball forcing Pitt to use some Time outs. On a 3rd and 7 from the Panther 40, a run to the right gets stuffed with 3:00 left in the game and....

Nova disconnected.

I remained in the game. When he got back on I had said I didn't have time to play again right then but could play tomorrow. He said to just finish out against the CPU.

CPU punts the ball to the Panthers on 4th and 9. First play, Spartans blitz the right side, Sunseri hits Shanahan on a quick slant to that side. Shanahan breaks a tackle attempt from the CB and takes off. He beats the safety to the sideline and marches straight down to the endzone. 27-24 Pitt. The Spartans did nothing with the ball when they got it back and Pitt ran the clock out to end it.

Great game Nova. Sucks it ended that way. I woulda gladly played it over tonight with ya. Look forward to playing you again.

Iowa State rallies from a 20-6 fourth quarter deficit to defeat Texas Tech 27-20 in regulation....until the game froze before the end-game cutscenes/montage. :fp:

I'll replay it tomorrow.

The fire the DC of Baylor campaign continues. I lose to #4 West Virginia 35-21. Baylor is now 1-2, and the defense has given up 33 ppg so far this season.

Arizona State pulls the slight upset over Cal last night 14-6. Arizona state played some really good small ball and kept the defense of Cal honest all night. While it certainly wasn't a huge scoring game it was filled with lots of action. Both offenses struggled at times combining for 7 turnovers.

Great game Dukie and GL the rest of the year!

After upsetting USC last Saturday, the California Golden Bears dropped a tight defensive showdown against Arizona State, falling 14-6. Each defense picked off three interceptions, and the Sun Devils also recovered a fumble by Cal's RB Isi Sofele on the opening drive of the game. The Sun Devils scored two touchdowns in the second quarter, picking on Cal's injury-depleted secondary, and then focused on a ball-control offense in the second half to limit Cal's opportunities for a comeback. The Sun Devils converted 7 of their first 8 third-down opportunities, while limiting the Bears to just 1-for-7, including two crucial sacks. Cal got the ball back with a little over a minute left, but their drive stalled at midfield, as Zack Maynard was sacked on 3rd-and-3, and they turned the ball over on downs on the next play.

Very good game, psusnoop. Good luck the rest of the season.
