Absolute bullshit. Boise State has a fucking hell of a lot more business being in the BCS than fucking Michigan. College football is becoming absolutely nothing but more and more fucking bullshit week after fucking week. Fuck you NCAA.

This entire BCS schedule is a fucking joke. Bullshit BCS title game. Boise State, at #7 get completely fucked out of a BCS game. How the fuck does a 11-1 #7 Boise State team get left out, but a 10-2 #13 Michigan team deserves to get in? Total fucking shit. Boise State, Kansas State, South Carolina and Baylor, all ranked higher than Michigan in the BCS standings, none of them playing in a BCS game. Everyone but Baylor with a same as or better record than Michigan. All left out. Fuck you NCAA. I hope your fucking offices burn down.

Michigan-Virginia Tech is horseshit. The rest of it, I understand (even if I don't like or agree with it).

Honestly, for me, I couldn't give a shit about any BCS game except for the MNC in any given year (unless I have a rooting interest).

It's just a shame that no one could step up and prevent the all-SECW title game. I hope LSU wins, they are deserving of the title and no one else is.

Side note, Wyoming vs Temple might be a fun game to watch, too bad I won't be watching another college football game until there is a playoff. I'm done. I can almost guarantee that Alabama is going to beat LSU. Then you're going to have a team that went 1-1 against the "best" team in the country claiming to be the winner of the MNC. :fp:

This has to be one of the worst bowl lineups of history... if you don't have a rooting interest in the games, there's not any compelling matchups. I'm really not interested in hardly any of the games outside of Wisconsin/Oregon & Oklahoma State/Stanford. And even the Arkansas State bowl game has lost a bit of it's luster in the past 48 hours with our coach leaving. I'm going and will enjoy it, but it's not the same as it was a week ago.

Agreed completely. Every year, I usually watch at least half the bowl games throughout the bowl season. However, this year there are only about 6 games total that I'm interested in actually sitting down and watching.

FIU-Marshall
Southern Miss-Nevada
Air Force-Toledo
Notre Dame-Florida State
Oregon-Wisconsin
Oklahoma State-Stanford

That's it. Everything else, to hell with them. And once again, to hell with the BCS title game. The NCAA can still go fuck themselves and they are not getting a single fucking second of watching time from me in regards to the BCS title game, and I am not buying a single product from any fucking company advertising during the game. They're all fucking bullshit hackjobs.

Interim Big 12 commissioner Chuck Neinas said Sunday night that a model allowing the top four teams of college football to meet in the postseason should be revisited.

"The plus-one model has received consideration before," Neinas said. "As a result of this year, I feel that consideration should become more serious as we move forward."

I know I was shocked by this news.

I'll say it again. I'm done with college football outside of WVU and my interest in watching them has become so fleeting, I almost don't even care there either. It's garbage. Absolute and complete garbage. Now we have a team (UCLA) with a losing fuckin' record in the in a bowl game. What's the god damn point anymore?

I'm just tired of it all. It's all about money and nothing else. Just make a fuckin' pro farming league, tell the NCAA to go fuck off, and get it over and done with. I'm just so sick of it.

Amazing how fast things someone believes or says goes out the window when they're in a favorable position contrary to that statement.

I just love the sudden change since 2006. Voters, coaches, etc, everyone said no way in hell should there ever be a rematch in the BCS title game, which is why Ohio State and Michigan ended up not rematching each other. But now, oh, well hell, who gives a fuck. It's the SEC, rematch or death apparently.

And even the Arkansas State bowl game has lost a bit of it's luster in the past 48 hours with our coach leaving. I'm going and will enjoy it, but it's not the same as it was a week ago.

G if you ever wanna make the trip to Oxford I got a ticket with your name on it to watch him coach again. You should come check out the grove either way also on a game day haha. It sucks you guys had to lose him, I really hope he turns our program around though. He's already started contacting recruits I think, took Nutt two weeks... :(

To me a true champion is one that has gone through the best to get to the ultimate goal. Playing one of the best based on arbitrary numbers doesn't really equate to that. Questions still exist after said fact. What if Bama wins? What if Oklahoma State destroys a top ten team for the second game in a row? Same could be said for Stanford in the same game....

If LSU wins, the BCS exhales, so that is why I'm rooting for Bama, and an OSU or Stanford blowout.

That said, I'll root for Freeze to do well, he just has a really big pit to have to dig out of.

At least it isn't a sanctioned pit.

47% of Virginia Tech's ticket allotment are still unsold, yet they're the bigger draw :fp:

We played the most freshmen and sophomores in the SEC, so hopefully he can do something with them. I'm excited to have an actual scheme and set play calling being brought in. With Nutt he just called plays, they didn't try to set anything up or dictate to the defense at all.

As far as bowl results go I def. want Miss. State to lose and USM to win haha. Other then that they will be game time decisions I'm also rooting for a 0-0 tie in the BCS Championship

:(

Disappointed that FIU couldn't pull it off. Hopefully that keep the momentum into next year (though they are going to lose T.Y. Hilton, which is gonna hurt quite a bit).

Nick Saban in 2003....

"A team that doesn't win their division or conference has no business in the championship game."

ESPN says they can't find any link/media, etc. to prove he ever said that. AFAIK, no one has posted any link to said quote. It seems like that was a fictional quote spread through social networks with no one looking for proof.

Bad to worse for FIU.

Also, poll added to this thread asking who you think will win the BCS NC: Alabama or LSU.

Hoping for Bama just so the season is split at a game a piece. But I think LSU wins this one.

Thank you BCS, for a fucking horrible bowl game tonight. Nothing like watching an ass-whooping that was over before halftime, and watching a team rush for a pathetic -11 yards. Thanks a lot jackasses.

A day after the hoops team beat Miss. State 54-52, Baylor football beat Washington 67-56.

that baylor game was great...sure, no defense, but I dont care, still was a great game...and most points ever in a Bowl..it was a matter of who wouldnt score at the end...but the first qtr took like an hour or something/ I would love to see a replay of that game

Such a damn shame that Vanderbilt went to the Liberty Bowl instead of Southern Miss... I hate all these dumb bowl tie-ins. They should limit them to three per conference or something like that. Then the rest of them are all fair game.

Most points ever in regulation, but not most points ever in a Bowl.

Yeah I think it was two points off from most points in a bowl.

Yep. 125 points in an OT game was the most ever for a bowl game. I can't remember what bowl or year it was or what teams were in it, but I remember them mentioning it was 2 points off.

I agree. I would go even further... 100% at large bowl bids.

Alright, so how do you establish a pecking order for picking teams? Or is a free-for-all, everyone for themselves? 'Cause that would work.

I agree that some of the bowl tie-ins are asinine, and bowls should be allowed to pick local teams in lieu of tie-ins. But in general, tie-ins are better than the alternative.

Well, I haven't thought too much about it, but just off the top of my head have a TOP 50 poll and rank the bowls in importance (I know people will say that doing that will belittle some of the bowls... but come on, seriously how big of an honour is it to play in the Beef O Brady Bowl in earlyish December?... bowls are already weighted re: importance). Then, match the teams up chronologically (eg 1 v 2, 3 v 4.... 49 v 50, etc. for each of the bowl games. This could also be the first step on the road to a playoff format...

sorry Nebraska faithful, but I did pick South Carolina to win that Bowl..they should really give Martinez back up a chance next year, he may well be better...Martinez cant really throw either it seems
