Haha I'm just saying with the disco's. Anytime I have a user game I give it a 25% or lower chance of actually getting through the entire game :D

ugggghhhhh....Indiana up 21-14....Iowa State attempts a 45 yard FG....FIRST play in the 4th....disconnect....another classic MAC 4th quarter ruined. We are trying again.

We discovered something on Papa's end though... every disconnected game he's had was at his mom's house and the one that played through smoothly (against Minnesota) was at his dad's. He's going to try again from his dad's house on Sunday.

I'm betting it's some settings that can probably clean up his connection abit... I imagine a lot of the disconnections could be cleaned up somewhat due to that, though that doesn't excuse sloppy network coding by EA.

Well it must be only effecting NCAA then. I've even tried switching. Playing the same exact person in Madden, then NCAA, then Madden again, then NCAA again. Worked fine, disco'd, worked fine, disco'd

Madden 11.

Wasn't necessarily testing this before after the game dropped but I noticed that I wasn't losing connections in Madden but would in NCAA. I tested this last weekend and that is what I got. A friend of mine would disco each time. Actually I haven't been able to finish any games against my friends. Yet all of them play in my Madden leagues and we don't disco.

I'm betting they modified their network code and that's why we're seeing all of these DCs... so that's why I asked if it was Madden 12. If it's using the same network code, they you might see similar issues in Madden 12.

That is unless of course they figured out the problems and are fixed in Madden 12 and thus hopefully fixed in NCAA12 post-patch 2.

Well, on a bright note I have been able to finish my last few user vs user games. If it does not get fixed in the patch, I don't what I will do. I will more than likely start looking for a Madden league or two.

I hate to say it - but I've decided to jump out for the rest of the season if not for awhile longer. I'm just busy lately and my internet has been too crappy to run online games whether it's EA's problems or not.

I guess you can go ahead and put me on auto-pilot unless you want to find someone else to take my spot. I might rejoin soon, I might not.. I'll have a more definite answer soon. It might just be short-term, I don't know.

Leave it to the one time we're able to actually finish an entire* game, I get completely EA'd in the first half.

Papa LoneStar

After 6 tries....

Indiana up 21-14....entering 4th
Iowa State up 10-0...entering 2nd (about to be 17-0 the way G was rolling)
0-0 mid 1st

7-0 Indiana mid 1st
7-0 Indiana mid 1st

The Indiana Hoosiers upset #21 Iowa State in rainy Ames, IA 42-17 to take control of the MAC West division race. Indiana forces 5 tunovers and rides Darius Willis' 147 yards to the victory. QB Edward Baker provided big plays with his 6-9 179 yard 2 TD 0 INT performance with the help of Damarlo Belcher's 3 catches for 138 yards and 2 TD outing. The Hoosiers jumped out with a 35-3 lead at the half which helped Indiana hold the Cyclones to 87 yards on 22 carries.

Definitely....I can't even take pride in how that first half ended.

Here's the 5 minute sequence for those interested....the NCAA 2005 momentum bar was active....

7-3 defenive struggle until....

73 TD pass 5:00 left
54 yard run 2:51 left
22 yard fumble return 2:44 left
76 yard INT return 1:51 left

You know, I've seen a lot of guys claim to get EA'd ... that might be the most genuine claim I've seen. Wow, look at that momentum. Especially for the away team.

At this point, I wouldn't be terribly upset if we put the OD on hold until the next patch is released (even if that could potentially be two weeks), just so long as everyone was ready to return once the patch goes live.

Oneback
08-29-2011, 11:31 AM
I would really like to have everyone stick together until after patch 2 before we start making decisions going forward. I know the issues with the game this year could potentially have long lasting effects on the current OD either because of sim losses or having to play games multiple times. We seem to have to do this every year but I am contemplating restarting the OD once patch 2 is out and we have a better idea of what issues their may be afterwards. Because of the lost time I would allow the use of powerhouse teams, the positives would be that we'd use luvtotha9s rosters and potentially a lot of these problems would be fixed with patch 2.

ryby6969
08-31-2011, 01:13 PM
So what is the decision? Are we just going to start over?

Oneback

Not sure just yet, I was wondering what everyone else's thoughts were on that subject.

gschwendt
08-31-2011, 01:45 PM
I'm personally against starting over but I know in the past we've had success with that so I'm willing to go that route if that's what everyone decides. Either way, I think we're best to see what patch #2 brings and whether or not it corrects our biggest headaches.

Oneback
09-04-2011, 10:42 PM
Right now, yes...I think with all the problems right now it's probably best to wait until patch 2 being as though we cannot play user vs user games right now. Once patch 2 drops we'll see where we are at.
