Ed. Note: ESPN.com and EA Sports are releasing the exclusive "Madden NFL 12" player ratings two teams at a time through August 22. Please keep in mind that the rosters for some teams are wrong due to the NFL lockout. But don't worry -- when the game hits stores on August 30, EA will already have an online roster update ready to transform every squad to their most current lineups.]

Today, we take a look at the numbers for the Jets and Patriots, two teams that are always among the most played in the "Madden" community.

Ratings: New York Jets (http://espn.go.com/espn/thelife/videogames/madden12ratings/_/team/nyj/id/20/new-york-jets)

Ratings: New Englad Patriots (http://espn.go.com/espn/thelife/videogames/madden12ratings/_/team/nwe/id/17/new-england-patriots)

And this year should be no different, especially when you have a lockdown corner like Darrelle Revis covering your opponent's best receiver. Revis is a monster in the game (again!), thanks to his 99 overall, 93 speed, 96 acceleration, 99 man coverage, and 96 zone coverage skills. Throw in Antonio Cromartie's 96 speed, 97 acceleration, and you have a defensive secondary not to be messed with.

Then again, if there's one team who can put up numbers against the Jets, it's the rival Patriots. I mean, who better to outplay a 99 corner, than a 99-rated quarterback like Tom Brady. Look for the Pats to throw a lot down the middle to their two tight ends, Rob Gronkowski and Aaron Hernandez, as these two create a lot of mismatch problems for defenses, both virtual and real life.
