Today we announced the all new Xbox 360 Wireless Headset with Bluetooth. The device is compatible with Bluetooth devices such as mobile phones and PCs in addition to being able to connect to Xbox 360 through the console’s standard radio frequencies. The Xbox 360 Wireless Headset with Bluetooth will be available for $59.99 (U.S. ERP) and will be available in stores worldwide beginning early November 2011.

And it's right in line with the ridiculous cost of the Blu-tooth headsets for the PS3 as well.

They're all ridiculously expensive. You can get a nice quality BT headset for like $20.

Of course they're all ridiculously expensive. You're paying for the honor of having the Playstation and Xbox360 logos emblazoned all over your bluetooth headset.

That works on 360?

I don't see why you would even need one for 360. You always have to have your controller with it, so I thought it was a genius move to make the headset plug into the controller. I'd much rather have a little 1 foot cable attached to my controller that's free rather than something wireless that's the cost of a full game. Hell, for $40 more, you can get a wireless headset that supports GAME AUDIO.

I beg to differ I HATE that damn cord. Which headset are you referring to for an extra 40 you can be wireless and have game audio? Don't you still need cords to the get the audio reception? All the ones I have seen that are fully wireless are noticeably more expensive than 100.00-110.0 dollars
