Use this thread to schedule user vs. user games.
Week 1, 2010 User Games:
Akron (cdj) at Utah State (Marlowe)
San Jose State (novadolla) at Tulane (JBHuskers)
Week will advance Wednesday, July 20 or once everyone is finished, whichever comes first.
Marlowe - I will be free Sunday night after 7 PM CT or so. Let me know what works for you.

cdj since we play next just wanted to let you know I'm usually good at 1130pm unforunately , really busy with kids stuff and I have birthday party on sunday. I'll have to see what my saturday morning looks like, but all this is EST let me know what you can do I'll try to figure out around it.

Hey bud normally I'm available anytime, but I was thrown into a work function out of town and won't be available til after 10 pm cst Saturday,which I know is a big inconvenience,i may have to auto pilot,hope we can play though

I might be available Saturday at 10pm CT though not certain at this point. I'm available on Sunday but the deadline is Saturday so I'll leave it up to cdj to decide what to do.
If you guys can get it in during the day on Sunday, we can wait and advance after you play.

Yeah... it was a rough start for sure. My guys were playing well above their means on both sides of the ball, but especially on defense. I had guys reading run right at the snap when they were supposed to be dropping in zone (without run commit) and then when it was passed, they were all over the field.
Good luck the rest of the season... btw, North Texas is used to losing so don't expect to be fired :D

With my work schedule, usually later at night is better for me. I'm generally free after 9 central time-- either Tuesday or Wednesday would probably work best for me.
CLW, how does Tuesday night look for you? I'm out for tonight but currently open tomorrow night.
That should work. I have generally been getting home by 8 pm CST. I also need someone to verify my tiger rounds too so perhaps you could do that after we finish our game.

If it works for you, lets aim for 8:30pm CT tonight and then after we can knock out your tiger rounds.

Also, this may be a dumb question, but I've only played online a few times, and not a scheduled dynasty game-- do we just go in through the online dynasty link and it matches us up, or is there anything more we have to do?

Tonight I should be able to go after 9 est. Depending when PSN updates the store I will be downloading the Madden demo likely if I am on earlier

one of us need to go into the online league and request game to be played. midnite would be cool what day today or tomorrow.

The double dipsy do pause trick didn't work this time. Escobar and get disco'd with about 3:23 left in the 4th quarter.

Sinister and I have had all kinds of trouble getting to play the Western Michigan - Eastern Michigan showdown the last two nights. Whenever he sends an invite, and I accept, it immediately says "Ready" for me, but after a minute, it says that we have lost the connection -- never gets past that stage. He said, however, that there's no indication that I'm ready, and it just says "waiting for opponent" on his screen. The opposite happens when I send him the invite-- it tells me that I'm endlessly "waiting for opponent". We can't make it past the uniforms/ strategy selection screen. We're both inclined to sim it out.

AFAIK, I've been able to avoid it by direct connecting - connect your PS3 directly to your modem, bypassing the router. I also have ports open on my modem, but I don't know how helpful that truly is.
Are both of you guys direct connecting or able to direct connect?

Not really able to -- we had to move the router and modem into another room several months ago because it kept losing the signal when it was in the room with the TV, based on the way the wiring is set up. Other than not being able to play this one game, I haven't had significant problems connecting through the wireless, and I've been able to play online against random opponents both before and after. Is there any other way around it?

Tonight I likely won't be free until around 11 PM CST. As far as I know, the rest of the week is clear-- I usually get home around 8 central, and I'm pretty nocturnal, so anything up to a midnight start should work for me.
I had problems connecting on my last head-to-head game a few weeks ago, so we may want to account for that in setting it up. Would 10 PM Central time tomorrow (Wednesday) work for you, with Thursday as a fallback?
