Better words were never spoken Prime! VT is done. Only 1 prospect left on boars and he is of no consequence.

What a ridiculous, crazy, insane first half.

Texas A&M opens up the game by grabbing two interceptions on Oregon's 3rd and 4th plays from scrimmage. One is returned the 3 (and run in on the next play), the other is a Pick Six.
Oregon responds with two seven-play TD drives (and a defensive 3-and-out) and ties it up at 14.
A&M finally manages to gather an offensive drive, but is stopped on 4th-and-goal from the 3. On the ensuing play, Oregon throws a pass out wide, the receiver is stripped, and the fumble is returned for a TD.
Two interceptions (one by each team), and an Aggie total of 12 yards (thanks to a 5 yard run, a -18 yard sack and a 25 yard pass and a crap ton of incompletions) sum up the next three drives by each team.
Oregon finally manages a substantial drive again, getting down to the 3 yard line themselves before being stopped on three consecutive plays and choosing to kick a FG.
A&M goes sack, incompletion, 21 yard pass, incompletion, 47 yard TD on their next drive, then picks off the first Oregon play. Trey Lumpkin finds himself behind the defense and catches a hail mary-type heave as time expires to score the TD for the Aggies.

Halftime score: Texas A&M 35, Oregon 17.
A&M QB Melton: 9-21 for 192, 2 TDs, 1 INT, 4 times sacked. Oregon QB Cummings: 22-36 for 275, 2 TDs, 4 INTs, 1 time sacked.
Combined 3rd down: 4/15.
Combined rushing: 14 attempts for -14. That's a negative.

And that's only halftime.

Final Tally: Oregon 53, #10 Texas A&M 49. I shit you not.
A&M QB Melton: 26-52 for 430, 3 TDs, 3 INTs, 6 times sacked.
Oregon QB Cummings: 37-61 for a school record 578 yards, 4 TDs, 4 INTs, 1 time sacked.
Combined 3rd down: 8/24 (33%). 44 combined first downs.
Combined rushing: 45 attempts for 68 yards.
And the "Damn those Super LBs stat of the night": 7 passes defended by Oregon LBs and linemen.

Obviously, the Texas A&M defense was totally out of gas and could do no right in the second half. The A&M offense was also gassed, often having to rotate out starters in mid-drive. Oregon scored 22 points in the 4th quarter alone while A&M managed 0. This included two Oregon interceptions in the 4th, including a 64-yard Pick Six.

Texas A&M coaches knew they were doomed when a 5-play Oregon TD drive only took off :26 to start the 4th quarter.

A&M was able to force a defensive stop with the score 49-46 and 4:02 to go. They tried to run out the remainder of the clock, but a 4th down pass attempt sailed about 15 yards past the open receiver, giving Oregon the ball with 2:06 to go. The Ducks scored 5 plays later.

The Aggies got down to the 15 yard line with :36 to go, but QB Patrick Melton forced a throw and was intercepted yet again, sealing the game.

This wasn't an INT, it was dropped, but this pretty much sums up the Texas A&M/Oregon game.
