19 years old :smh: and he helped take down all the stuff, hope it was fun cause a 19 year old computer nerd in prison isn't going to go well.

British authorities, working in cooperation with the FBI, announced on Tuesday that they'd arrested an alleged mastermind of the LulzSec hacking group.

"Officers from the Metropolitan Police Central e-Crime Unit (PCeU) have arrested a 19-year-old man in a pre-planned intelligence-led operation," according to a statement released by Britain's Metropolitan Police Service, aka Scotland Yard. "The arrest follows an investigation into network intrusions and Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attacks against a number of international business and intelligence agencies by what is believed to be the same hacking group."

Unfortunately, I doubt we've heard the last of them. Like the article says, it's unlikely a lot is known about the individual people via one another, so it's not like he can spill the beans on everyone in LulzSec for leniency. And I wouldn't be surprised, much like the fears of increased attacks by the Taliban and al-Qaeda after Bin Laden's death, that the other people in LulzSec, and Anon now that both organizations have teamed up, start hacking every damn thing under the sun left and right after this news.

At least they are under serious heat. Between hacking, and attempting to hack multiple sites in the UK and US, they hacked the public website of the CIA (way to go dumbasses, get the CIA's full attention on you), major companies and banks, and such, there are agencies all over the world looking for these asshats.

And unfortunately, I don't think we've seen the worst of it, not with LulzSec and Anon both teamed up and working together.

The hacker group LulzSec says that after 50 days, it’s done causing trouble on the Internet. In an announcement posted to Pastebin and linked from its Twitter feed, the group said that after 50 days, the latest batch of files it released via BitTorrent would be its last.

“For the past 50 days we’ve been disrupting and exposing corporations, governments, often the general population itself, and quite possibly everything in between, just because we could,” the group wrote in its statement.

I imagine this has something to do with that Jeff...

Seems like LulzSec is pissing everyone off not just the CIA, FBI or the gaming industry. A website said to belong to a Dutch member of the hacker group has reportedly been hacked by another group known as “TeaMp0isoN.” Even though the website has since been taken down, it wasn’t taken down fast enough as a 17-year-old TeaMp0isoN member was able to infiltrate it and post a statement.

The hacker went on to state that he plans to expose pictures, addresses, passwords, IP addresses and phone numbers belonging to members of LulzSec.
