Special guest coach Les Miles was brought in this week to work on clock management and big did he deliver.'after a game where the EA CPU was obviously trying to simulate a possible upset after a heartbreaking loss,'the Hokies had the ball on the 28 yard line and was trying to center the ball up for the game winning kick with 18 seconds left on the clock. Chew clock had been called on the previous possession because Miles thought with a 3 point lead and 4 minutes left that they could run out the clock. After the old faithful "fumble and defense runs the ball back for a TD only to learn that the replay cameras said the knee was down, 3rd and 12 turned into a run and a FG to give the Hokies a 6 point lead. The deacons fly Dow the field and score a TD to take a 1.point lead. 40 seconds to go and the Hokies pass down the field and get well into field goal range but Les forgot to stop chewing clock. With 18 seconds left, an attempt to center the ball results in the clock running out pre play and the Hokies lose in extreme Les fashion.

Texas A&M destroys Oregon State by the very Papa-esque score of 73-0.

Freshman stud (and Doak Walker semi-finalist) Matt Stanley continues his breakout season, capping both 100 yards for the game and 1000 yards for the season on the same run, and ended with 23 rushes for 155 yards and 5 TDs. Stanley's stats were boosted by a ridiculous third quarter that saw the Aggies run six offensive plays and score three touchdowns, thanks to one interception returned for a TD, another returned to the one foot line (it actually shows as TD in the scoring summary), and a third after an interception began the drive at the 9-yard line. That sequence was bookended by two more defensive touchdowns, one to end the first half and another as the last score in the 3rd quarter.

The Aggies ended with 40 rushes for 267 yards, and only needed 7/10 passing by their quarterbacks. Meanwhile, Oregon State committed seven turnovers, including five interceptions, in the loss.
