This is the worst lag I have ever sEen. I could not kick the ball because there was 1-2 seconds between controller input to response. When selecting plays, the screen would scroll over 2 and 3 plays at a time. When pressing catch, the catch would occur, but the receiver would high step right after the catch.

RcSinger
05-18-2011, 09:57 PM
I am gonna see if black ops on 360 has the same lag. I haven't seen this In any game I have played against anyone. Where in the country are u KP?

Texas. I played Oneback and there was little to no lag at all.

everything looks pretty damn good for '12 even if OD for 2012 doesn't have the dynamic rating system from week to week like madden 12 we can reasonably assume it will make its way to ncaa 13....haven't been this excited over madden in quite a long time.

I assume you're playing on wireless... that definitely would cause spikes in connectivity. I highly recommend playing via wired connection whenever possible.

Ok I'll try that.

RcSinger
05-19-2011, 04:52 PM
It depends on the specific wireless technology. I play on wireless and have no trouble, however some different techs and wireless clients will lose about 1/3 total bandwidth. Add that to a second device sharing the BW and you end up with a very sluggish connection for multimedia gaming

Kingpin32
05-19-2011, 05:13 PM
I talked to our phone company earlier today, and our connection only gets up to 6 mbs per second. So considering all things that's still not very fast.

It's still plenty fast. I'm on the same but have no connection issues so long as my opponent also has a solid connection. I even only have .5mbps upload.

So if I hardwire the PS3 instead of using wireless will it work out better? I've played a few people while I was at home before and it's never been as bad as it was last night.

Yeah, it should certainly be better. That combined with the fact that someone else was on the connection.

A very hard fought battle see's the Hokies emerge victorious.

The Hokies put 14 on the board and look dominant before the Ducks put one of their own in the end zone. Oregon suffered from some questionable calls and some turnovers early but settled down and tied the game in the 2nd. Tech puts another in the end zone in the 2nd and the Ducks answer right back to send the game in to the locker room knotted at 21. The 3rd quarter hosted a game of give and take and there was no score. In the 4th, the action heated up and saw the Hokies put up 24 points to the Ducks 14 to send them back to Blacksburg victorious.

The Ducks held the lead only once in this game despite having several opportunities.
"Bend don't break" exclaimed the Defensive Coordinator, "That's what we teach our boys down in the south."

The Hokies last drive claimed 3 min 42 seconds from the clock and was definitely a key drive in both taking the lead and giving the Ducks very little clock to work with. On the ensuing kick, the coverage team strips the ball and runs it in for another seemingly putting the game away. This didn't stop Oregon though, scoring a TD 48 seconds later. Onsides kick fails and due to some stored up Time Outs, the Hokies score again while trying to just hang on to the ball till the clock runs out.

413 TYDS 619
2-44.5 Punts 1-41

Fairly even game.

Great game KP, Some bad breaks with penalties and the fumble at the end of the game. I was trying to strip the ball (although I shouldn't have been) but I try a lot, it rarely happens.

p.s. That play I run where I sprint off the line to the side is a designed Roll Out pass. It's in my playbook in 3 different formations and I use it a lot. Just letting you know I am not pulling the Sprint /w QB cheese crap.

Kingpin32

Good game RC. I knew about that play cause I used to run it before, I just couldn't stop it. That last strip that happened on the kickoff killed me. But even still I had a chance until the very end.

Yea I at one point I almost stopped simming but figured oh hell why stop this is a heck of a game. Wish I could have watched it play out live.

I did screw the pooch at the end of regulation and threw a corner route but got tackled in bounds and had to attempt a game winning fg from 40yds out with my freshman kicker and he shanked it after they froze me. Bad thoughts ensued lol
