As mentioned, several members from The Gaming Tailgate attended a Community Event but there with us were members of other gaming comunities including TraditionSportsOnline.com, Thrutheuprights.com, MaddenMatrix.com and others. We'll gather all of their previews so that you can get started on your preview overload.

TraditionSportsOnline.com (http://traditionsportsonline.com/ea-sports-ncaa-football-2012-hands-on-with-improved-zone-defense-and-new-tackling-engine)
EA SPORTS NCAA Football 11 was a huge leap for the series and generally embraced by the community as the best version of the game since moving to the second generation gaming platforms. Even with such a strong showing last year, there were still some critical areas of the title that needed to be addressed for 2012. After 4 trips to Tiburon and 120+ hours with the game since January, here’s my initial thoughts on a few things.

Game play, game play, game play… that’s all you hear about from the diehard fans of the game and I think that’s exactly what you’ll be getting on July 12th. This year the team has focused on improving some core aspects on the defensive side of the ball. Improved zone coverage was a must and EA SPORTS has delivered on that front.

MaddenMatrix.com (http://maddenmatrix.com/?p=666)
What’s up NCAA Football gamers! My name is David Johnson. I am an EA SPORTS Game Changer and NCAA Football gameaholic!

Since January of this year, a select group of 16 gamers and NCAA Football enthusiast from across the United States have been traveling back and forth to EA SPORTS headquarters in Maitland, Florida, attending what is known as Community Day events. As to date, there have been four NCAA Football 12 events this year. I have been privileged and lucky enough to have attended three of the four. Having attended community events for NCAA Football and Madden NFL in the past, over the last 5 years, this year has several distinctions, (1) there were move invitees than even before, (2) there were more community events, and (3) the events began earlier than ever before.

Each event has been different in some ways, whether it was an event with the entire 16 of us, or smaller groups which focused on specific NCAA Football 12 features.

ThrutheUprights.com (http://thrutheuprights.com/i-have-played-ncaa-football12-and-this-is-my-hands-on-impressions/)
Hey Guys, EA SPORTS Game Changer, and Owner of thrutheuprights.com xRomo_9winz here with a look at my take of NCAA Football 12. I was one of sixteen selected to participate in the NCAA Football Community Event held at Tiburon studios in Orlando which was simply amazing! They have had four events to date, and I have attended two. I have had over fifty hours of hands on time with the game and hope to have more.
There are a couple of things I would like to cover with you from my perspective of these areas of the game.
1. Presentation
2. Game Play in Play Now

OperationSports (http://www.operationsports.com/previews/111/ncaa-football-12-preview/)
At this point in a console generation, it feels like sports games are at an advantage and disadvantage. On the one hand, developers should have an immense amount of understanding of the consoles they are working on now. This means adding those extra little elements of joy and polish can be more easily worked into the development of a game. However, it seems like it would be almost crazy to talk about installing an all-new physics engine or something else along those lines at this point in a console's life cycle. Changes like that just seem to happen more often than not at the start of a new console generation.

And NCAA Football 12 might epitomize that double-edged sword. Some of the tweaks that I was shown and was able to mess around with are immediately noticeable and mostly positive, but for folks wanting widespread change, a new engine or some masterful stroke of development genius that will create this all-new football game should probably reel in their expectations a bit.

GameInformer (http://www.gameinformer.com/games/ncaa_football_12/b/xbox360/archive/2011/04/21/continuing-a-dynasty.aspx)
NCAA was a better game than Madden last year, and it was partially due to what designer Ben Haumiller has called an all-encompassing approach to development. Instead of highlighting a marquee focus for the year, the NCAA team made sure that they made improvements in a wide swath of areas. It paid off then, and hopefully it'll do so again in NCAA 12. Haumiller promised additions to various areas of the game, including online dynasties and custom playbooks, but right now EA Sports is talking about two features in particular: the game's presentation and its new tackling system.

College football isn't about the stars and heroes that populate game covers, make the newspaper headlines, and get blown out of proportion in the media. At its heart, every element of college ball is about the teams, their traditions, and their fans. While college has its fair share of superstars, the anonymity of the individual is readily apparent in NCAA Football 12 from the generic names on jerseys down to the lack of glamour shots of specific players. In the case of NCAA versus NFL, NCAA Football 12 truly benefits from this angle. NCAA Football 12 makes gamers irrevocably aware that they are part of a tradition and experience much bigger than themselves.

Gamespot (http://www.gamespot.com/xbox360/sports/ncaa-football-12/news.html?sid=6309340)
It seems awfully appropriate that this year's entry in the NCAA Football series feels more like a free-spirited college game than ever. The timing really couldn't be any better. Up in the pro ranks, the NFL is headed toward a potential work stoppage for the 2011 season, and unless every big college football school in the country discovers that its student athletes totally didn't read Sense and Sensibility before writing their book reports, the amateur game will continue as always. As a nice bit of contrast to all of that serious collective-bargaining business, this year's NCAA Football is all about visually capturing the energy and eccentric team fandom that is unique to the college game.

ESPN (http://espn.go.com/espn/thelife/videogames/blog/_/name/thegamer/id/6403049/ncaa-football-12-first-look)
Anyone who has played an EA Sports football product over the past couple of seasons knows one thing for sure: tackling is more about the warp than the wrap. What I mean by this is that games like "NCAA Football" and "Madden" are about getting your defender into the vicinity of the ball carrier, then watching as the linebacker is magically suctioned into the runner for the tackle. This system had nothing to do with momentum, nothing to do with reality, and unfortunately trickled down into other areas of the game where contact is king, like blocking.

All of the cut scenes have really been improved IMO... The pregame stretching and entrances, also team touchdown celebrations where the player just gets mobbed. All of it is very cool.
