Madden NFL 12 Playbook Blog on Official Site

A blog post went online at the newly redesigned Madden NFL 12 website today: http://www.ea.com/madden-nfl/blog/playbook-blog. It outlines a series of upcoming blog posts--called "Playbooks"--coming for the game over the next few months:


Playbook #1: X-Books & Gameplay -- April 28th
Playbook #2: Presentation -- April 28th
Playbook #3: Franchise & Superstars -- May 16th
Playbook #4: Dynamic Player Performance -- June 6th
Playbook #5: Madden Ultimate Team -- June 20th
Playbook #6: Online -- July 25th


Kinda nice to have a schedule for the major announcements going forward; even if it means that we're about a month away from the first "Playbook" entries on "X-Books & Gameplay" and "Presentation."

Ugh! MAY 16TH will be the franchise info. I don't know if I can wait that long. After the dissapointment of 11 I need to know what they have done for 12.

I'm not that big a fan of custom playbooks honestly but thats just me.

I actually thought you could do that with the gameplan feature this year but realized you couldn't when I set my one up for the trophy.

Yessss!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I also saw custom playbooks. Please, please, please be in NCAA as well. If Madden has them but NCAA doesn't I will be beside myself. The other big thing really promoted in that trailer is PRE-GAME INTRODUCTIONS. It looks like continued emphasis on the presentation which is always a good thing. I also saw CHEERLEADERS and a pic of Walter Payton so I guess the Hall of Fame guys are all in. Also, it looks like there is a way you can change player tendenceis. That Ladamian Tomlinson pic seems to imply that???

After 20 more views... it looks as though the grass texture will be the same as NCAA. Also, hot and cold streaks seem to be in (smowflake to fire) and the Titans mascot is in the game, hence mascots.
