Gonna retire from the dynasty and rejoin back..First thing I saw when I logged in was "Iron Dragon has left the dynasty."

Thought something had gone down last night that I hadn't read yet. :D :D :D

Looks like Florida State will once again be getting more of my transfers even though I have persuaded them to come back.. glad to see for the second straight year my top recruit from the previous year's class is just going to transfer away, be talked back and it won't save.... this is great..

Wow, what BS.

I decided to test and see what would happen if I could get him to transfer Florida State, so I spent only 30 minutes on him (10 minutes x3 instead of 30 minutes x2), and he decides to leave and it uploads PERFECTLY. This game has something out for me.. I swear.

It almost seems rigged.

Incoming Transfers
Florida State - OLB Wheeler (from Oklahoma), FS Young (from Miami)
Oregon - MLB Rivers (from Stanford), QB Hunter (from Boise)

So looks like FSU and Kingpin would be the only ones that would need to say yay/nay on skipping Incoming Transfers. Namely Kingpin, assuming that both Dragon and Ryby are able to convince their guys to stay.

Obviously it won't go into effect this season, but I've been thinking about no allowing 90+ OVR players to be convinced to stay, or only being allowed to attempt to bring one guy back.

Interesting idea, something to think about but it could really leverage someone in recruiting.

I will say, however, that it's fairly unfair to start it in the middle of any dynasty, since people in seasons before us have been allowed to retain their players. That's the reason I advocated starting it on NCAA 12.

yea ive always liked the idea of not talking players into staying (if they were 90+ etc....), should be some risk involved but i dont want to punish papa lol.

I agree, Eric. Of all schools to transfer to ... unless there's some internal "I want a championship!!!!" thing going on.

I would also have to say I don't really care for the 90+ can't talk them into staying thing. There are some guys that declare way too early. Prime had two in the 80s and I had 1 just as an example. I think if you did something it should be 95+.

fsuprime
02-13-2011, 11:53 AM
i think you could 94+ and/or just won a major award or led the ncaa in rushing/passing/tackles etc...

Papa LoneStar
02-13-2011, 11:57 AM
I agree with E....I remember last year....94+ was proposed. 95+ seems like a good limit. 90-93 won't even be a top 2 round pick on Madden.

BTW....all 4 returned. I really thought Earl would leave. I'm definitely gonna redshirt Hopkins this season....no reason to not give him a full year to shine in 2016. I am REALLY shocked that little Earl stayed....no back would stay after a 2000 yard/47 TD season. Maybe he wants those career records :)

02-13-2011, 11:59 AM
I lost ten 90+ ovr starters....8 were true freshmen on the default roster....CB Carter and LG Nolan were juco sophomores that were redshirted after signing during the first season. I'll definitely miss those 2 guys....straight up beasts.

I talked Lamb, Young, and Austin into staying. DE Davis decided to leave even after a hour and a half of time spent on him. Young wanting to leave makes absolutely no sense considering has put 2 All American FS's into the NFL in the last two years and he is now number 1 on the depth chart.

Horns return 8 starters on offense that averaged 490 yards per game including 287.5 rushing yards....lose both starting WRs + LG and C. Return 4 on the defense that led the nation only allowing 8.3 points per game.

We are going back to the Bama playbook....power running game + 2 stud TEs + deep threat with Roger Moss should be dandy.

If anything, I'd say 95+ can't be swayed with maybe a concession to allow Sophomore (RS)s to be swayed back.

ryby6969
02-13-2011, 03:43 PM
I agree with prime in that if a player is rated 90+ and wins an award then you should not be able to try in talk them back. If they are 95+ you cannot talk them back regardless of whether they win an award or not.

So frustrating... Wisconsin NEEDS two MLBs yet none of the new MLBs are interested. To make matters worse, there weren't ANY new OLBs.

This was definitely the worst LB class I have ever seen. Absolutely ZERO 5*'s at either OLB or MLB.

Right, but I don't think anyone was suggesting not being able to talk them back ..

Right, I was just trying to use them as an extreme example of how some guys want to leave after they have a "semi" stat friendly year, Like my 91 HB that was a 2nd string but got 1000 yards along with my starter.
