I saw cdj playing NCAA Football 07 on the 360 and it got me thinking, what is the best version of NCAA Football on Next-Gen?

I've been debating if I should run to gametop and purchase 07 or 08 :)

Nice topic idea! I have something similar in mind for a project in the next few weeks. ;)

I purchased NCAA 07 just to see what it was like as it was only made for the 360. It gives a person a better feel at how far the franchise has come, that's for sure. The improvements and changes are accentuated when comparing from a game three years prior.

My vote goes to NCAA 10.

:D okay okay ... I'm going to go with 09, online dynasty revolutionized the way this generation of consoles goes about things within sports gaming.

Is that your first tease cdj?

My vote goes to 10 as well. BY FAR AND AWAY!

Gotta be 10 for me.

04 on the Ps2 is the all time champ for me.

I think 10 = 03, and 11 will = 04.

easily NCAA 10.

'07 on 360 wasn't bad considering it was a completely re-written game in a year dev cycle. it was missing a ton of things though. '08 was Int fest, '09 had "wide open gameplay". NCAA 10 didn't really have anything comparable to those, IMO(that I can think of right now anyway). no, it wasn't anywhere near perfect or great gameplay wise, but it was playable to me. I don't play online versus randoms, so most the exploit/glitches didn't mean much to me.

That's a bold statement my friend. I would love for that to be true.

I never played 07 on the PS3 but I did own the rest. It was easily 09 for me. NCAA 09 was just fun. It was awful out of the box but on Heisman I had some good settings that really made it fun for me. I'm not a great offensive player and on Heisman the cpu could shut me down. I choose it easily over NCAA 10. NCAA 10 improved the cpu QB AI, improved the cpu running game, the cpu QB went deep, the sliders worked, over the shoulder catches were nice and the game was a lot better tuned out of the box. You would think I would have loved it. But I didn't like the camera at all for NCAA 10 and the insanely fast passing speeds looked bad and also frustrated me immensely on defense. I felt useless against the pass. A lot of little things bugged me like the lousy crowd sounds, the menu lag returning from 08, and I even thought the look was better in 09. Either way I would bounce back and forth from NCAA 09 to NCAA 10 and I just liked NCAA 09 better. I realize I was in the minority but that's just how I feel.

I never played 07 (I'm PS3 only), 08 was quite broken in my experience, and of course 09 was WOGP run amok. 10 definitely wins for me. The most balanced game of the series... so far.

So yes, gameplay wise 10 is definitely king. 09 the OD just gave SO MANY great things to the game, which was what I was basing my vote on. Now take everything you've heard about 11, I think we'll definitely have to re-vote in two months.

NCAA 10. I never played 07 on 360. 10 was the only one I was able to play into January.

No wonder lol. I never bought a PS3 initially. I waited for the first price drop so I didn't buy it until a month before NCAA 08 came out.

Boy that's tough because they have all been so flawed. However, NCAA 10 made the biggest strides and if fatigue, formation subs, and presentation had been in 10 it could have been a great game. This bodes well for 11.

I've touted NCAA 09 for a little bit now. It's the most "progressed" behind NCAA 10 which added these things which were all highly undesirable to me:

1. The Gameplanning gameplay feature and overpowered run commit (Besides straight cheesing, these hurt online play immensely)
2. Slowed down break-away players so you'd see top speed WRs and RBs getting run down by average speed LBs
3. The Season Showdown annoying point system that would doc you points for "Running up the Score" when it was more like you were finishing off your opponent. (I eventually learned to ignore it)

I'd also like to give bonus points to NCAA 09 for introducing Online Dynasty, which is probably the best new feature introduced to the NG series.

Thanks. I saw you posted some at utopia today but those posts disappeared so I'd figure I'd drop by and see what you guys are talking about over here. I like the format on this site, btw. It's easy on my Irish eyes.

Most definitely '10. '09 was atrocious and I never played '08 or '07 for next gen though I apparently didn't miss much so '10 definitely gets my vote. Hell, I'm still playing '10 since the '11 demo is so jacked up (and has nothing but 4-3 defenses and teams I don't like playing with).

I'd also like to add that I put my money where my mouth is since I still play NCAA 09 when I get my itch. I traded in NCAA 10 a few months ago after my OD died off.

For me, 09 like it was stated was revolutionary to what makes this series what it is in my eyes so I gotta say 09. Having said that 10 made strides as it appears 11 will as well. But right now, just because it started things for what we all have to enjoy now, 09 gets my vote.

I voted for 10, base almost exclusively on TeamBuilder. I put in more seasons with 10 than in several recent editions because seeing my CAS team in next gen was really good. Sure, there were some issues, but it was pretty good overall.

I should add that I had 09 for next gen for a very short while before getting the PS2 version of 09.

10 hands down. I'm happy no one has voted for 07... It was a pile of trash. I was really excited when I downloaded that demo. Once I started playing... wow... I kept my NCAA07 PS2 preorder. ;)

Ncaa 10 was the best and most polished out of them.

The worst was Ncaa 08 because CPU defense was shit, linebackers would pick off any pass over the middle and corners had eyes in the back of their head.

I'm thinking of busting out ncaa 07 just so I can play in the old Orange Bowl again.
