They played a ranked Oklahoma. You played one of the worst teams in the country.

At least, that's my best stab at a guess.

Gee thanks Jeff ;) I understand the logic, just merely expressing my frustration with, #1 being jumped by a team that I beat because they beat a team that I also beat, #2 the screwed up Poll Logic. I just really hope they don't put a team in the MNC that can't even win it's conference.

lol, i have to agree with the poll logic since fsu did the same thing to miami in 2001!!!

Ill get my recruiting done later today after my very hard classes, golf and business and foreign exchange + derivatives ;)

I know the frustration...so I can joke about it now.

Miami knocks off Marshall 49-0. The Cane's defense held the Herd to 151 yards of offense and forced 3 turnovers while recording 6 sacks. Downing was 10 of 13 with 3 TD's and Storm Johnson also added 3 rushing TD's. Backup HB Nate Lewis added a 76 yard TD run on his first play of the game.

Up next Miami looks for revenge against FSU in the ACC Championship game.

These last few weeks plus conf championship week are going to be very interesting. If Boise State wins their last game and stays undefeated I see them jumping PSU. Plus Navy is sitting at 10-0 right now too at #11. If they win it will be interesting to see how high they move up. And if LSU knocks off Alabama in the title game i wonder how high they can jump.

Edit - LSU and Alabama in the East, won't be matching up in the title game.

USC dominates rival UCLA 56-3 and takes home their Pac10 title in 4 years.

Walker 19-31 325 yards 4 TDs 2 Ints
Morgan 7 carries 103 2 Tds
Prater 7 catches 164 yards 4 Tds

Defense held UCLA to 217 total offense and only 94 passing

psuexv
01-06-2011, 09:45 PM
USC finishes off the regular season with -

Walker 59% for 3824 yards 50 Tds 7 ints

Baxter 971 yards 10 Tds
Strickland 829 yards 10 Tds
Morgan 793 yards 11 Tds

Prater 56 catches 1549 29 Tds(NCAA record)
Grimble 46 catches 912 yards 9 Tds

Taylor 88 tackles 7 sacks
Greene 8 sacks
Harris 9 ints

JeffHCross
01-06-2011, 10:03 PM
Eric, I would have loved to see a competition between Walker's numbers and what Germaine could have had if he had been my starter all season.

psuexv
01-06-2011, 10:24 PM
Yeah that would have been interesting. The thing that I like about his numbers is the Td to int ratio. It probably should be 50 and 5 but I may have tried to force a couple throws to Prater in that last game :)

The funny thing is he's not even the leading passer. McCarron has like 4600 yards, I didn't look to see if he's leading on Tds.

JeffHCross
01-06-2011, 10:33 PM
Yeah, I would have had more INTs, but we would have been about equal in TDs and I would have probably been a decent amount ahead in yards, depending on how much I played my 2nd team down the stretch.

I believe you're leading TDs, but yeah, you're definitely down on yards.

Thanks Jeff for the bowl projections.

If I get the Rose Bowl (as I think I am) I will record the matchup on my iphone through Justin.TV as well.

****It would bring me great pleasure to start USC with a Loss, finish them with a Loss and start the next season with a Loss. Now that would be the ultimate belated Christmas gifts.

Yeah Walker very rarely played in the 2nd half of most games. Of course that is probably why I have 3 RBs that are over 700 yards too. Throw the ball in the 1st running it in the 2nd.
