Not sure how many MLB fans there are around here since there isn't dedicated MLB thread but Cliff Lee just took less money to go to the Phillies and probably forming the best rotation ever. Halladay, Oswalt, Lee, Hammels. That's just sick.

Might be the best rotation since Glavine, Smoltz, Maddux, Avery.

Perhaps a 2011 thread is in order.

Those guys were lights out. They were younger too, probably better arms through the whole season - 28,29,29,25

Halladay, Oswalt, Lee, Hammels are - 33,33,32,28

It's amazing to think that Halladay and Oswalt are the same age. You would think Oswalt was four years older.

Not knowing, I thought Oswalt was about 4 years or more older. Interesting.

What a signing for the Phils. Did you guys hear that the Pirates signed Overbay, unf***ing real. I will not go to a pirates game again till they fix this stuff.

Overbay isn't a world beater, but he's a very solid run producer. He just won't hit 30 and 100.

But I see your point.

LOL don't I know it.

I'm not really disappointed with Overbay, but I'd like to see them retain and build both of which won't happen anytime soon.

Heck what was the Pirates cap number in 1992 vs 2010? I bet it is very close.
