No real information available yet other than they got Michael J. Fox's permission for his likeness, they got permission to use the Delorean, and Christopher Lloyd is involved. I had my doubts that Fox wasn't doing the voice work himself but after hearing this... I'm convinced.

Yeah, what I said might have come across incorrectly... after hearing his voice, I'm much more interested in the game than I was before. I was worried they'd just get some Joe-voice-actor to do the voice, not a sound-a-like.

Oh my gosh... my fave movie as a kid in video game format. 1985 here we come... again.

I haven't followed this as much as I should, but is the game more for little kids? I'm a huge BTTF fan, so I'd probably pick it up at some point no matter what.

I don't pretend to know the answer to that, but one would think the makers would want to target all ages. It would be a mistake to leave the kids out, but also ignorant to not target the age group that actually knows what BTTF is.

Is this a retail game or going come out in episode installments on PSN/XBL? I was thinking I had heard the latter a couple weeks back.

As to the above questions, I have no clue. But this is definitely on my watchlist. I love BTTF and still watch all three fairly regularly/often. Great movies. Even if this game is geared toward kids, oh hell with it. It's BTTF, that's good enough for me.

The good news is, I have a kid so I'm covered. I can buy it and enjoy it and not look like a creepy old guy with a Hannah Montana game. (To those who may resemble that remark, please don't ban me. :P )

It's going to be an episodic game (http://www.joystiq.com/2010/06/09/this-is-heavy-telltale-making-episodic-back-to-the-future-game/).
As well, here are a few small details (http://www.joystiq.com/2010/09/01/telltales-back-to-the-future-touts-christopher-lloyd-as-doc-bro/):

1. Marty McFly and Doc Brown
2. Christopher Lloyd voicing Doc Brown
3. Hill Valley
4. 1985
5. BttF screenwriter Bob Gale's guidance
6. The DeLorean

Lame. Episodic DLC games never work...

I suspect the game will be just like Monkey Island... it is the same developer. I told my wife about and she totally wants the game so I guess we will be getting it...

Looks like the same animation studio that did Psychonauts (among many others) based on the player models (that's a complete and utter guess without looking or remembering who was supposed to be making this game).

The animation looks kinda like The Secret of Monkey Island.Considering Telltale made Tales of Monkey Island, and is made up of many former LucasArts employees (I would guess some of which worked on the original Monkey Island) ... I can't imagine why you would think that!

It changes from Talltale to telltale. Watch it again. They did it on purpose.

:o It's been a long day...I should have paid more attention!

The voice actor for Marty is really good. Granted, we didn't see any actual gameplay but I'll still be getting this one - Looks good to me.

The PSN Store update has a behind the scenes video and trailer for the game - yet to watch them though - but is there any word on release date yet for PSN?

I haven't heard but I saw a review on Kotaku that basically said it's extremely boring. I've never played a Telltale Games game before but I get the feeling that it's not much different from their other games.

Ugh, that's disappointing, if true. I saw a couple people on twitter who played the PC version and seemed to like it, but maybe that was just day one early impressions.

Monkey Island was well-received, I believe.

Consensus on the reviews is just above 80% right now ... that's decent: http://www.gamerankings.com/pc/997882-/articles.html

So I'm wondering if it was a vocal minority that put the perception out there that EVERYONE hated it...I heard it from someone I chat with on Twitter earlier today, she said she heard everyone hated it.

Fun game, I think I am about halfway through Part 1. It does get a little slow at times or maybe I am just playing when I am really tired.

It's probably geared more for a younger audience, but I'm a huge BTTF fan so I'm still enjoying it.

Got through a little bit last night. It's definitely a pretty cool game, especially if you're a Back to the Future fan. It's not high action (yet) but that's not a bad thing.

That's the basis of the game. You pick and choose who and with what to interact, kind of a puzzle, dialog game.

Just downloaded the demo last night. I enjoyed it but my wife absolutely loved it. I think I will pick up all five episodes as they are only $20.00. Has anyone finished the game and is it worth it??? I loved the movies when i was a kid.

Yeah I am a big fan of the movies...and the Telltale point and click style works for this game I think. I'm enjoying it.
